Senior Baseball

Division Rep seniors@ell-baseball.com

Dear Senior division Candidates,

D59 and ELL are trying something new this season for the Senior Division (LL age 15 to 16).

Typically many of the Senior Players play High School Baseball and can’t participate in Little League until HS is over (typically in early May). The other players have noting to do until the HS players are available, and aren’t keeping their skills up with the HS players who are practicing and playing in games.

We intend to form a Cactus League within the District. We will from teams and play games with the players that are available starting in April just like the rest of the League. In May the Cactus League will be disbanded and the Normal Senior Season will start and we will include the HS Players that are now available. The Cactus League games are not counted in the Standings for the Senior Division.

 Advantages

  1.  Non HS players will get practice and game time, just like the HS players before the regular season begins.

  2.  Non HS players won’t be bored waiting for season to start.

  3.  ELL gets a better idea of who wants to play earlier so we can plan better.

  4.  Our ELL Program can possibly grow beyond the usual one SR team (we have 45 players from last year that are eligible for SR division).

What should you do

  1.  Register NOW

  2.  Write on your application “Will Try Out For HS” if you intend to try out for your HS team.

  3.  Volunteer to Coach or Manage a Team

  4.  Try out for ELL Senior Division on 3/5 or 3/6

  5.  Reply to this email if you are interested (include Name, age of the player, and weather or not he intends to try out for HS Ball)

  6.  Send this to your friends, my email list only covers half of you.
